RACE RESULTS:
Friday started out on a positive note with the addition of a favorite sponsor. Dave George and partners of All Steam Supply came on board to sponsor Dakotah Stephens Racing during Speedweeks. Many of you may remember All Steam Supply's logo from sponsoring the # 79 Sprint Car. Their company is ASS-All Steam Supply and thier mascot is a Jackass and was featured on the top wing of the Sprint.. All Steam Supply is a boiler parts supplier for industry. ASS is homebased out of Orlando, FL.
On Friday, we got behind the eight ball right off the bat going through the Room of Doom. It took us 5 tries to get the car right. We only got one practice and were ready to qualify. Tire impound procedure was a new experience as we were the last one to get our tires.
Qualifying: Dakotah went out 6th and set a time of 18.677. Fast time was 18.266. Starting 12th on the field.
Race: The first green flag dropped and Dakotah goes to the high side and passes 3 or 4 cars but it is called back due to a spin in the back of the field. At the full restart, the field takes off and the #55 developes a miss in the motor and starts going backward. After 5 laps, he pulled the car in and finished 24th on the field.

RACE RESULTS:
Practice: The pit crew worked on the car and got out for Practice #2 on old tires. #55 was turning 18.7 times on the track. No qualifing today. You start were you finished on Friday, Welcome to the back row.
Race: Dakotah was slated to start 23rd but 3 cars choose to drop to the back so the #55 started 19th for the first of 5 green flag starts. Once the race got under way, Dakotah started moving to the front. The car was performing great on the top side of the track. Dakotah drove up to 10th place. With 5 laps to go, the battery problem cropped back up and he gave up the positions he had gained and finished 16th on the field. His fastest lap time during the race was on lap 5 at 18.422.
Crate Late Models do not race on Sunday night. The ACT Late Models-a touring series out of Canada is the main attraction on Sunday night.
Dakotah Stephens Racing resumes racing on Monday, February 14.
